Keaton Schiller banged out a great set for her latest EP release show at Siberia. Love this description of her music from her official site: "Warm yet gritty melodies and strikingly intimate lyrics." That nails it. Great voice, solid riffs, and the band has fun performing. If you see her playing around town, go check it out. You can buy us a beer to thank us.
Amanda Shaw has spent decades blending Cajun traditions with rock, blues, country, and pop into a sound that is uniquely Louisiana. A celebrated fiddle player and Louisiana Music Hall of Fame member, she remains one of the state’s most beloved performers. Her appearance at The Broadside pairs a hometown favorite with one of New Orleans’ most distinctive outdoor venues, creating the perfect setting for an energetic night of live Louisiana music.
Domenic Fusca takes care of business every Friday for Happy Hours at Banks Street Bar. Man, he rocks out with his own unique sound, but as he says, "When it comes right down to it, it all starts with the blues." He does a lot of originals and a handful of covers, but maybe his best work comes with the off-the-top-of-his head songs. He freaking just makes up a tune and jams and it's always great. People yelled random words and he made a song (Lemon Sweet) was the best one. Had another called "This Song is About You" that was outstanding. Dude needs to record himself and then create more enduring magic. Always a fun time.
